Dear Parents,

     Welcome to second grade. We are looking forward to working with you and your child and having a very successful year in second grade. This is a big year for reading and for math. They become much more independent learners and will have the ability to expand in all areas. This is the first year for an assignment pad. Check it daily and keep in touch with your child's teacher either by writing in the pad or emailing. Those are the most efficient methods of communication. The amount of homework will be more. Keep on top of your child and see what is due the next day.
