Noteworthy News
Dear Parents,
The class has been working so hard. I am really proud of their effort. Please continue to review multiplication facts with your child every day. It is really important that the children know their facts. Flash cards are a great way to review and can be done in the car, before bed time, or in the morning before school. You can use dice to make it fun. Have your child roll two dice and then multiply the numbers together. To make it more challenging, they can roll 3 dice and multiply 3 numbers together.
Ask your child about school and try to be specific. Don't just ask, "How was school?" Ask them about what we did in a particular subject that day.

Friday
Folders
These blue folders are sent home every Friday. They will contain school
notices and PTA information. Please sign and return the folders every
Monday.
Work
Folders and Progress Reports
These manila folders will also be sent home every Friday. The papers in
the folder and the progress report are for you to keep. Please make sure
you check to see if your child owes any homework. Please sign the form
in the folder and return on Monday.
Assignment Pads Assignment pads will come home everyday. I always check them and stamp them to make sure all homework is written down. It is your child’s responsibility to gather their homework to bring home. Please have your child check off each assignment as they complete it.
Book
Reports
Each month I will send home a paper about the monthly book report. This
paper will give specific directions as to how the book report should be
completed.
Spelling
Spelling homework is assigned each night Monday through Wednesday.
Spelling tests will be given every Friday.
Mrs.
Bogdan's Weekly Report
This paper will be sent home every Friday. It will list the reading vocabulary
words for the week and all important curriculum information.
It will also list any important test dates for the week.
Book Reports for the Year All books should be between 125-150 pages with the exception of the biographies and nonfiction books.
