FROST VALLEY PERMISSION SLIP AND INFORMATION

Dear Students and Parents/Guardians,
Welcome to the 6th Grade!
The 6th Grade Team of teachers is very excited that you will be joining us for the 2010-2011 school year. Our year will be filled with team building activities, cross- curricular lessons, books to read, essays to write, experiments to complete, and much more!
Over the summer we hope that you have the opportunity to prepare yourself for the next step in your middle school adventure. Please use the supply list below to purchase all the necessary items to help make the school year a success. During the first week of school, your teachers will help you set up your notebooks and help you understand your new schedules. An assignment book can be purchased at school or you can supply your own. Please be prepared on the first day of school with the supplies below.
Supply list:
- #2 Pencils – at least two boxes (and an extra supply at home!)
- 3 – ½ inch - 3 ring binders – for Science, Literature and Social Studies
- 3 – 1 inch - 3-ring binders - for Math, English and Spanish
- 3 packages of Dividers
- 2 packages - White lined paper (and an extra supply at home!)
- 2 to 3 – Highlighters
- Pens – blue or black for daily work
- 1 package – Eraser caps
- 2 – Black Sharpies (Ancient Civilization – Map Making)
- Hand held pencil sharpener
- Pencil case that can be carried from class to class
- 1 package – Reinforcers
- 4 – 2 pocket folders
- Colored Pencils
- 1 to 2 – boxes of tissues for your homeroom
