Dear
Students,
Welcome
to a new school year. I hope you had a great summer. I am very happy to
have each of you in my classroom. Mrs. Caron will also be working with
us this year and is very excited about a new year. Here are just a few
things we need to remember for a successful year…
- I don't expect you to be perfect.
I hope that you will strive for excellence and work to improve. We all
make mistakes; the important thing is that you learn from your mistakes.
- School Supplies
- The only supply that you will
need is a 1-2 inch binder to leave in our classroom for each class
that you have with me. This way you don't have to worry about bringing
anything except your homework folder each day.
- Homework Policy
- All homework assignments will
be written on the board. It is your responsibility to write down your
assignments in your assignment pad and be sure to bring home all the
necessary materials. I am providing you with a homework folder so
that you can keep everything together.
- I will be looking over your
homework daily. If you are having difficulties with your homework
and your parents are unable to help you please have them write me
a note. We will review the assignment the following day.
- I would rather see effort
given on assignments that you don't understand rather than leaving
them blank.
- There will be no homework
over the weekend. However, if you miss an assignment during the week
it will become homework on Friday.
- After you miss two assignments
a note will go home to your parents to be signed and returned. If
missing homework continues to be a problem we may have to implement
a sign and return policy daily in your assignment pad.
Please
work hard and to the best of your ability. When we all work together in
a cooperative setting we will have an enjoyable year. I'm looking forward
to a great school year and I hope you are too!
~
