Welcome to the Byram Township School District Special Education Parent Advisory Group (BTSD SEPAG).
What is a SEPAG?
Pursuant to NJAC 6A:14-1.2 District eligibility for assistance under IDEA Part B item 18, letter (h):
“Each district board of education shall ensure that a special education parent advisory group is in place in the district to provide input to the district on issues concerning students with disabilities.”
BTSD SEPAG Mission
The mission of the Byram School District Special Education Parent Advisory Group (SEPAG) is to empower parents and families of children with special needs to be involved in advising on matters pertaining to the education, safety and health of students with special needs and learning differences in collaborative efforts with all stakeholders of the district.
BTSD Vision
The Byram School District SEPAG facilitates collaboration among students, parents, staff, the Board of Education, and the greater Byram community through open meetings, educational events, volunteerism, and policy advocacy at the district level in order to promote inclusion and understanding of, respect for, and support of all children with special needs in our community.
