District and Board of Education Goals

District Goals:

• Design and implement streamlined district operational procedures to enhance organizational efficiency, consistency, alignment, and effectiveness.
• Develop and implement a formal districtwide communications plan that enhances clarity, builds trust, and ensures consistent and transparent communication in order to promote meaningful connections with all stakeholders.
• Create a comprehensive, dynamic, inclusive learning environment that fosters high-quality teaching by enhancing and strengthening instructional practices while inspiring students and educators to achieve excellence through innovation, collaboration, and continuous growth.

BOE Goals:

• Ensure that policies and regulations are up to date with current practices and protocols needed to effectively run a school district.
• Engage in professional development opportunities including individual Board member academy and Board Certification training with the NJSBA. The Board certification recognizes the full Board’s commitment to training and effective governance in areas such as group process, decision-making, planning, effective meetings, and focus on student achievement, while continuing to strengthen and adhere to established Board and Committee Norms.
• Collaborate with the district administration to conduct a comprehensive assessment of all district facilities and initiate the development of an updated long-range facilities plan (LRFP) that reflects the district's educational vision, enrollment projections, capital improvement priorities, and fiscal priorities.
