Byram Township School District is seeking reliable and safety-focused Bus and Van Drivers to transport students in a safe, efficient, and well-maintained environment. Candidates will work under the direction of the Transportation Coordinator and are responsible for maintaining proper student conduct and adhering to all safety regulations.
Starting Pay: $35.00 per hr
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma required
- Valid New Jersey School Bus Driver’s License (appropriate class) preferred
- Passenger, School Bus, and Air Brake endorsements
- CDL preferred but not required
- The district is willing to support qualified candidates in obtaining their CDL
- Criminal History Background Check required
Responsibilities:
- Safely transport students to and from school and school-related activities
- Maintain a clean, safe, and well-functioning vehicle
- Enforce rules and ensure appropriate student behavior on the bus
- Perform duties as assigned by the Transportation Coordinator
- Complete all state mandated trainings

(PART-TIME - 29.5 hours per week max)
Starting Pay: $20.00 per hr, 45-minute unpaid lunch
Certification: High School diploma or GED required, college level coursework, and/or passing score on ETS ParaPro exam.
Candidates selected for interviews will participate in an interview. Those selected for interviews will be contacted with appointment dates and times.
Benefit Days: 10 sick days, 3 Family Illness and 4 Personal Days
Start Date: 8/26/26

Byram Schools are seeking passionate and dedicated Bus Aides to assist and supervise children on the bus during transport. The ideal candidate will assist young or physically challenged students getting on and off the bus. The candidate will also maintain discipline and enforce rules and regulations governing safety and conduct of children on the bus.
Salary: $20.00 per hour
Duties: Per the attached: Bus Aide
Start Date: Immediately
