Reporting Student Attend.

Change in Normal “PickUp” or Dismissal i.e., Your child normally rides the bus and is now being picked up by a parent/guardian.

Use "Pick-Up" Patrol

New parents should be receiving a registration email prior to the school year beginning.

https://app.pickuppatrol.net/parents/login

If you are already registered, use the link above to login to Pick Up Patrol and follow the prompts to submit a plan change. After you hit submit, the school will be informed of the change.

Please set/confirm your student’s default plan the first time you log in. We recommend all parents do this prior to the school year beginning.

Reporting an Absence

You can report your child absent by doing one of the following:

1. E-mail: attendance@byramschools.org and provide information (this email will be utilized for attendance tracking for both schools by our attendance officer).

2. Login to the Genesis Parent Portal and report the absence following the steps below.

3. Call the main office at the school. Many districts require parents to login to the Genesis Portal to report any absence, but we wanted to provide multiple options so parents can choose a method that works best for them.

Providing Documentation

Have a doctor’s note to submit?

You can submit the note in one of three ways:

First Method:

E-mail: attendance@byramschools.org and provide appropriate information.

Second Method:

Login to the Genesis Parent Portal and upload the note by following these steps:

• 1. Log in to your Genesis Parent Portal account.
• 2. Select the student from the dropdown menu if you have multiple children.
• 3. Click the "Attendance" tab located on the main dashboard or side menu.
• 4. Click "Notify Attendance Office" to open the absence form.
• 5. Enter the date or date range for the absence.
• 6. Select the absence type (e.g., Absent, Tardy, Early Dismissal).
• 7. Choose a reason from the provided dropdown list.
• 8. Write a brief note in the comment box detailing the reason.
• 9. Upload any doctor notes or other pertinent documentation.
• 10. Click "Submit to Office" to send the notification to the school

Third Method:
Many districts now require parents to login to the Genesis Portal as the only means to provide medical documentation, but we wanted to provide multiple options so parents can choose a method that works best for them. When I know one of my children are going to be absent in advance, I utilize the Genesis Parent Portal and it makes the process simple and easy without having to call the school and follow prompts.
